Our order which was founded
by Justus H. Rathbone in Washington, D.C. on February 19, 1864, is based on the principles of Friendship, Charity and Benevolence.
We are very proud to be the first of two fraternal organizations which received their charter from the United States Congress,
the second being the Boy Scouts of America.
We have three recognized
auxiliaries: The Pythian Sisters, The Dramatic Order of the Knights of Khorassan (DOKK) and the Junior Order Knights of Pythias.
The Pythian order has
chosen Special Olympics to be our national charity, thats not to say that other charities are not considered. Stonewall-Jasper
lodge also supports Camp Happy Days and Special Times, Masonic Service Association, Make A Wish Foundation, My Sister
House and Coastal Autism. Many hours of volunteer work and effort is given by our members to help those in need, thats all
part of being a Pythian. Our members want to and enjoy giving back to our community, to help make it a better place to live.
The Knights of Pythias
also works to promote and support the Boy Scouts by allowing the use of their meeting halls and participating with various
programs, incentives and monetary support. We also sponsor a Dixie Youth Baseball team. We want to promote a healthy environment
for our children.

Stonewall-Jasper lodge meets regularly at the Pythian Castle located at 1968 Belgrade Avenue, Charleston,
South Carolina, 29407. The Lodge's regular meeting nights are the 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month.
Anyone wishing to phone the Lodge may do so at the Castle Halls phone number, which is 843-556-1931. We look forward to anyone
from another Lodge visiting, as well as anyone wishing to learn more about the Knights of Pythias. The Dramatic Order Knights
Of Khorrassen, Sinbad Temple #96 meets regularly on the 2nd Thursday of each month at the Pythian Castle Hall and
would like to invite anyone from another Temple to join us on our meeting night.
The Ladies Auxiliary of the Lodge, The Pythian Sisters, has a branch here as well. The Elizabeth
Temple #2 meets regularly on the 4th Thursday of each month at the Pythian Castle Hall listed above. The Sisters
would like to invite any ladies wishing to learn more to visit them on meeting night.
